I read "Sarah Wells" written by Sarah Wells on the page 13. This paper addresses the question of animal rights and asserts the animals should be given protection from human harm. And on the other hand, the feasibility of animal being given theses rights and protection are addressed as the counterarguments. And the aspects of conterarguments have been divided into 2 parts: how can humans' physiological of consuming meat be dispelled and if society is ready to accept animals' rights from now on.
For the evidences which writer present to supports her claim. At first, the types of rights that animals should be afforded are explained like instances of positive animal characteristics as well as animal pain which have be mainly mentioned in the paper and be given as the basis for animal having rights. And I think the author is also trying to claim for eating less meat so that people will kill fewer animals.
From the paper, we can find lots of quotations and huge amount of professional date or specific terms. They makes the paper more formal, believable and persuasive. And after reading Auther's Reflection, I am able to understand more about what does the author expect reader to find out and what is her original standpoint.
